Just simple..

According to you all brodah, in fact, what became the hindrance in this country to become the big nation and advance..??

give your opinion and reason

ShadowEx
well in my opinion, its because the government never tells the truth to the people... they are never transparent about everything... they keep it to themselves or even hide the truth to the people...

and the most problem is the coruption...

the biggest problem according to me, people realize that we have problems and protesting about it only. Why not finding a solution and try to start the solution from yourselves. Change yourselves first before you expect others to change.

The biggest problem I think is education. Education can change Indonesian's way of thinking.
There would be no discrimination or racialsm anymore.
No religion will be "superior" than others <===yeah, right. Who do I have to fu*k to see that?

we are mentally ill, people. we are lazy and always underestimate every situation. we dont have dignity anymore. if i may suggest something for everyone in this nation : start from small things, start from yourself, start now!
x-men
the people who have no spirit to move on, conservative thinking, and the goverment who work with their greed

The feeling of I am Great is the main cause of failures. People think that they are the best, therefore they need no listening to others. This is what is happening in our Government.

by the Way, in our UUD 1945, it is said that all natural resources are controlled by the government, and is used for the best of people. Do you think we need to revise it soon?

In my opinion, the main problem comes from the poor law enforcement.
why do you think something like corruption, illegal logging, anarchism
and so on grow rapidly in our country?
because there is no punishment for the bad guy.
we can easily bribe our polices, attourneys, lawyers, and even the judges.
the result is, there's no more fear in doing such criminal activities.

The next big problem is, as mentioned by bro sian_lem, education.
Development of a country, rely heavily on human resources quality.
education is one of the main way in improving human resources quality.

Let's us just pray and never stop hoping for brighter future ahead.

as far as i concern this country has gone in the correct track.....
we just need to pumped out our nationalism a little bit over the limit
and may god do the rest

both government and citizen are responsible for the sake of our country

our country can't go well without the support of those two

the government keep stopping criminals while the citizen keep doing it

the government keep rising the fuel price while the citizen begging to stop it

one can't go well without the other supports

the citizen should say why they did the criminal, and the government should say why they're rising the price

if both can cooperate, our country will soon grow back to as it should be

@all: sorry for my english

The root problem of our beloved country is the mental of her people. Our people's mental like to critic and critic only without giving solution. And worse, so many people pretending to step up critizing the current government policy but not for improving the country but just simply for the purpose of downgrading the image of current government. We need major change to save our nation and it could start from ourselves. Stop critizing and start the action. For example you are angry with corruption than start from your self never bribe the police when you break the trafic law.
MALING!!
we have great people, very nice people, but the government doesn't interact, they bring the people in to the loop, the people don't get involved or have a chance to speak about government changes. We criticize but they won't listen + too much corruption

We... are... a bit... lazy...

Corruption was not a problem, it was an effect, then it became problem.

The main problem of Indonesia is we got way too many people flocked only in few islands, and we got too many waters area so we can't distribute electricity, goods, oils, and education in an appropriate way.

However, Indonesia has great people. Trust me.
If you try to go a little bit outside (Not too far, just a liiiitle bit), and learn about people who live in that particular country... Oh boy, you will be proud of being Indonesian!

I know some of Indonesians are racist and thinking that one religion is better than the others...
Again, try to go out a liiiitle bit outside, where in school they reduce the marks of students from minority races and marked up the marks of students from the majority race. The government also giving free educations to the majority race with tax they ask from minority races.
Sending low-level students from majority race abroad for free, while pressing high-level students from minority races.
When the athletes from minority races won the medal from international sports events, the government will say that it belongs to the whole nations!

The worst of all... until today, they still have a university only for the majority race and strictly forbidden for minorities... (Yes, it's still happen at the 21st century, and not very far away!)

After learning about those people...
Oh boy, shouldn't we proud of being Indonesian?

The change from dictatorship to democracy happened almost overnight. It takes years and years to build a fully fledged democracy. Look at the democracies in the West, they have been there for hundreds and they still haven't got it right yet. People need to be thinking about the country they are building for their children and grand-children, not for themselves.

The corrupt government I think....They eat evertyhing like rat....
