Revolution has change the politics map in our country. Next year we are gonna have election. But this question often flash in my mind? Is revolution really change how the government conducted?

Yes, Now we have the liberty to talk politic anytime, anywhere, anyhow we want to.
Yes, Now we have KPK to watch the corruption
Yes, Now we have other bunch of agency making sure that human rights is forced

But, do the government after revolution really listen to her people? Is it better that we do not have all those liberties and freedom and bartered those to the era when we are respected to other countries (we used to be the ASIA Tiger), batered that for low employment rate.

I think that our people are not ready yet for full democracy because people are too hungry to think about democracy. All what I am saying is that sometimes full liberty is not suitable to a country especially when the people is not well educated. For our country, I think we still need Iron Fist to rule this country since that our country is so diverse and not well educated.

agree. I think our people isn't ready yet to become a democratic country. As we know from our history, the succes of our country is held by an autocratic government such as in majapahit era and soekarno era. Soekarno had ever been try to make Indonesia as a democratic country, but then the result is nothing. Polician was fight each other to get gain the reign and they forget their main purpose, help and increase the wealthiness of our people, and as the results there are over one hundred polical party in our country. Suppose that know is better for us to become an autocratic government and banish the coruptor in our country.

I'll vote for a democratic leadership. Yes, a democratic leader may not have the same 'strength' as a dictator may have, but being a democratic leader does not necessarily being weak either. A democratic leader is one who hears the people, cares about them, and solve the problem and adversity of the people by empowering the people as a whole and not sacrificing any group of the people. This is an ideal leader, and maybe one that is only hypothetical in modern era, but any one can try to have at least one hundredth of its quality, and still comes with many things for the nation.

Whether a democratic or an iron fist leader, I think the most important quality of a leader is the ability to educate his/her people, to encourage the whole nation to move forward, and to inspire them all. We once had some of this quality in Soekarno and Soeharto, and that's why we often want to go back in time. Iron fist leadership is not always a bad thing, like Margaret Thatcher had showed, but I prefer one that I can give my voice without the fear of being repressed.

most important is we need the charismatic leader who could unite people with different idea and bring them in to one vision that is to bring this country in bettter condition...
democratic leader certainly needed but democratic leader that could lead with firm....

For me better a leader with strong leadership is must in this country. iron first is a solution for this many different culture.. the rules must be really strike. Just like suharto did.

i think we need iron fist leader first,, because its difficult to change indonesia people habits for being corruptor,, and so on...

with iron fist leader,, at least indonesian people will respect and finally will follow the rules,, for me its really good to eliminate crimes rate in indonesia,,, especially a bunch group like "Bonek"

I believe we need an elected leader who rules by encouraging patriotism and having the characteristics of a dictator. Someone like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Agree, I think govern a country like Indonesia need Iron Fist Leader than Democratic Leader. As far as we know Democratic make Timor Leste separated from Indonesia.
There are to many cultures in Indonesia that give us many reason to being separated from each other. Therefore we need Iron Fist to united many cultures under one cultures that we call National Cultures (Kebudayaan Nasional).
