Tim peneliti pasar yang dipimpin oleh Forsa Grup mengatakan bahwa pria dengan berat badan ideal memiliki kecenderungan dua kali lipat untuk berlaku curang terhadap pasangan dari pada pria dengan postur yang subur.
Biasanya pria overweight jarang melakukan selingkuh secara terbuka, namun mereka lebih senang mengunjungi rumah-rumah "pelesiran" atau menghubungi sex hotline.
Survei ini melibatkan responden dari Jerman sebanyak seribu orang dengan usia berkisar antara 31 sampai 69 tahun.
Dalam survei itu ditemukan 23% pria yang termasuk dalam kategori berat badan ideal mengakui bahwa mereka tertarik untuk berselingkuh sedangkan pria dengan kategori berat badan berlebihan hanya ditemukan 11% saja yang tertarik untuk berbuat curang terhadap pasangan mereka.
Bagaimana dengan pria yang memiliki berat badan "agak berlebihan"? Ternyata survei menemukan bahwa 19% pria yang termasuk dalam golongan ini mempertimbangkan akan melakukan perselingkuhan.
Sascha Rusch, seorang ahli kesehatan khusus pria menjelaskan bahwa pria bertubuh subur sebenarnya mempunyai aktivitas seksual yang tidak kalah aktif dari pada pria dengan berat tubuh ideal hanya saja mereka lebih bijaksana untuk menahan diri agar tidak melakukan kecurangan terhadap pasangan. Overweight men are not only less likely to cheat on their partners, but are also less likely to visit brothels or call sex hotlines.
One thousand German men between the ages of 31 and 69 were questioned by the researchers.
They found 23% of men in the "normal" weight category admitted to being interested in a bit on the side, while just 11% in the "fat" category said they would cheat on their wives or girlfriends.
A further 19 per cent of men considered "moderately overweight" said they would have an affair.
The researchers say that it is not a lack of opportunity that make heavy men a less risky option, but simply that their wish for risky sex decreases.
