Nokia Morph phone

The main idea behind Nokia Morph concept phone is the use of nanotechnology based flexible materials, transparent electronics and self-cleaning surfaces. These materials should enable Nokia to produce a mobile device that “…might be stretchable and flexible, allowing the user to transform their mobile device into radically different shapes”.
Different shaped devices you see in the picture, is actually the same one mobile handset, that transforms itself into the concrete shape according to the user needs.
The concept was developed by Nokia research center in cooperation with Cambridge University and is on display at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

C’ALL Future Phone: Phantasy for All, Technology for None

The C'ALL future phone is a series of drawings and fanciful artwork by designer Dima Komissarov that envisions the all-in-one device that we're craving, with a cellphone, MP3 player, GPS, hand-held Mac and PC, and everything else all crammed into a credit card-sized device. One of its most intriguing ideas is its chameleon-like credit card mag strip "player," where you dial up your chosen credit card and it virtually turns into that card.

The "Real" Hand Phone

Do you think the current cell phone form factors will change in the future? This is a really open-ended question, but being the constantly innovating beings that we are, chances are the answer will be in the affirmative. You will require to use a natural gesture with this literal hand phone (as some circles would call it), boasting voice control for activation as well as dial memorized numbers. The microphone can be placed near the mouth while the speaker is located almost inside the ear, facilitating communication even in the noisiest of environments. Wearing this handset is as simple as wearing a watch, but it had better be waterproof cause don't you think it would be a hassle to take it off every time you went to the loo?

Future Phone-Xi

The Haier P7 is a fully functional mobile phone which has a ton of features crammed in to it. The first thing you will notice is that its a weird shape and is aptly named the Pen phone. I guess the reason for this is so you can clip it on your shirt pocket? maybe? The P7 included a digital camera, 90 minute voice recorder, an LCD display and has a standby time of about 150 hours. Talk time for this phone is around 4 hours which is acceptable. Apart from that its just a unique and fairly weird phone.

Nokia 888

Finally, the Finnish biggest phone manufacture came out something interesting that makes the Asian drools. This concept phone known as Nokia888, which is just 0.5cm thick and it can be bend anyway you want it to be. Thus, with this phone, you can wear it as wand on the wrist, or even as a braclet. In fact, you can bend in anyway you want it to be. Sounds cool? Yea.. I think this is the best phone that Nokia has ever designed.

The phone is using liquid batteries, a flex touch screen, and the advance voice recognition. Hmm.. it might be still a long run before our mobile phone technology reaches this stage.

NEC's Tag Concept Phone

The next generation Tag Phone is available in black, white, and orange. More interesting, the future phone is made of shape-memorizing materials.
"tag" is a new, malleable, casual communicator. It is not only soft but also flexible, for example, it can be hung from a belt or wrapped around the user’s arm. Shape-memorizing material and multiple pressure sensors allow the phone to change its shape according to the mode. The user can also alternate the mode by changing the shape. (nec-design.co.jp)

Plica

The advanced technology of the 21st century indeed is praise worthy especially for the advanced communication system it has given birth to. This time around the buzz is about ‘Plica.’ The technical definition of this term maybe familiar to you but you might want to ponder upon the technological part of it. The Plica is an interesting phone concept that has two touchscreens which can be folded like your wallet. This conceptual device will not only redefine the definition of phones but will make a great impact on the cellular market.

If you are already bored of battling through with your cellphone to surf the net then Plica can be the best choice for you. It can perform like a mini computer
with both of its touch screens able to work in tandems, allowing you to have a wider screen space. Just like your iphone, it can also do the one screen QWERTY that can be altered as QWERTY keyboard which, appears as if you can use both hands.

asus aura: iphone clone plus

This cool phone from Asus channels many of its good looks from Apple’s iPhone. The Asus Aura has a 3.9-inch touchscreen LCD, a 2 megapixel digital camera and a slim 6.9mm thick case design.
The Aura does one up the iPhone in a few significant ways by offering UMTS and HSDPA (3G) high-speed connectivity, expandable storage via an SD slot and a slide-out keyboard. The bad news? The Aura is just a concept design, and isn’t expected to be produced any time soon.
Don’t be surprised if more and more manufacturers start to clone the iPhone’s full-size touchscreen display and other design touches. But like Mac OS X vs. Vista and TiVo vs. other DVRs, the difference still lies in the quality of the user interface and underlying operating system.

Benq-Siemens "The Black Box"

BenQ Siemens’ newest concept phone, the Black Box, uses a touch screen as its keypad. The touch screen changes the control layout immediately which depends on the functions you are using. What an interesting concept phone it is!

Benq-Siemens "Snaked"

Benq designers thought of women too and presented Snaked. This is a “reptile” looking phone, creepy somehow, but still is very cool. The Snaked is a fashion phone for sport loving women, because it also has body monitoring sensors to help the ladies keep those fine shapes.

Sky "Sleak & Slim"

“Sleek & Slim” from SKY is another concept based on touchscreen technology. The phone has a discretely glowing touchpad, hideaway keys and generally utterly-fashionable minimalist design.

Nokia Aeon

Nokia Aeon was presented by Nokia on their website in the Research & Development section. What is so great about this phone is that it looks like it will actually go into production next February. Of course, its just a rumor, but still, makes us hope to actually see it someday in the GSM shop. All we know about it for now is that its a touchscreen phone and it looks fantastic.

Retroxis By Dark Labe

If most phones presented here will never be sold in store for sure, the Retroxis concept phone from Dark Label looks kinda human, and makes us hope we’ll be able to get one of these one day. Designed by Lim Sze Tat the phone is encased in high polished polycarbonate renowned for its lightweight and toughness and has an invisible OLED display that silently hides away when inactive
