Indonesia Should Learn From Brazil

Of course, it's not about how they play football,
I'm talking about how they act when they play football.

What Indonesia team do yesterday, which is when Sriwijaya FC and Persipura face-to-face in the Copa Indonesia Final.
Persipura decided not to continue playing after 59 minutes played in the match with claim that they have been cheated by the referee in the game which is not giving them the penalty kick against the Sriwijaya, in the condition that Sriwijaya FC player doing the "handball-thing" as the official of Persipura told.
And then, PERSIPURA DECIDED NOT TO CONTINUE THE GAME.

Last night, when Brazil meets U.S in the Final of Confederation Cup at South Africa, Brazil teach us one big thing when it comes to "HOW SHOULD WE ACT AND RESPONSIBLE AS A PERSON AND A FOOTBALL PLAYER".
If we watch the game, Brazilian 'Kaka scored one goal that the referee claims doesn't. When we see the replay again, it was clear that it was GOAL. Not a penalty, IT WAS A GOAL. Some Brazilian including 'Kaka made some protest against the referee, but only for some seconds, not until a minute, when the referee wave his hand showing that the referee has decided not to point that as a goal.
After that few seconds, the BRAZILIAN KEEP PLAYING, KEEP CONCENTRATING.

What are the result?
1. Persipura will face a trial with PSSI.
2. Brazil celebrating their win over U.S after miracle comeback from 0-2 to 3-2

What we face here in Indonesia player and people is :
1. Crisis of Self Confidence
2. Doesn't know that THE GAME MUST GO ON, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS
3. In this life, even a second is worthy, they still have around 30 minutes in the game and decide to gave up the game. So they wasted more than 30 minutes in this life.

Can We Fixed This?

This Is A Screamer From Indonesian Regarding The Degradation Of Self Confidence and Determination of Indonesian People.

I think u are a sriwijaya fans which dislike persipura..
Hence,u disgrace persipura

Doesn't necessarily so. I'm no big fan of any Indonesian football team, but I still feel what Persipura did is a disgrace. There's a serious problem with Indonesian football. See what Persebaya's bonek did at Tasikmalaya train station? Personally, I think Indonesian football should be resetted, starting with Nurdin Halid (kick him out of the office!). No football competition for ten years, that will teach them a lesson.

Yup, what Persipura did was shameful. PSSI need to punish those shameful acts!

I love indonesian football. Just hoping it'll be much better in the future, not only the competition, but also the mentality of indonesian football players. Smug.gif

i think it's not fair enough for Persipura. From the beginning the games not fair. Games should be played on a neutral stadium but it's not. besides that, the referee should be punish too. It was a handsball for Sriwijaya FC. Everybody who saw the games knew that.CMIIW

Ten years? That's too harsh bro. It would also destroy our pro football culture. Our national team would drop to Cambodia or Bangladesh level if your idea gets the go.

What an idiotic comment, did you even read the post properly?

In any case the Original Poster has valid points. The game must go on, even if the team feels cheated, the players should understand that they are not only playing for themselves, but they are playing for all their fans who came to see them and support them.

Players and teams need to understand their roles and responsibilities with regards to the game they play. If they are amatures and are just backyard teams, then this wouldn't be an issue. However, these teams are professional teams which compete professionally (meaning they get paid). So they can't throw a game because of some bad call like that.

And with regards to the refferee, I mean there is only one man out there on the pitch. Even at the highest level of refereeing (World Cup) there are numerous errors that they make. Therefore we can't expect a huge difference in quality in Indonesia either.

actually, indonesia knew about that but....so "shy" for learned
spideyheroes
PSSI too arogan for judging him self.....

its called the different level of experience in football

I think this is unfair final location. The Location should be in netral place... So Don't blame persipura.

I am a football maniac actually. However, I have always been trying to be proud of my own country's football team but I fail. Their plays really suck and I have no entertainment at all of them....
