Discovery Channel Military edition 2008 broadcasted the world's best elite forces. Elite forces from around the globe was measured by its performance and skill (not by the military technology), where military experts and analyst across the globe were invited to give their judgement.
Here's the Top 3 :

1. United Kingdom's SAS

2. Israel's MOSSAD

3. Indonesia's KOPASSUS

surprise...surprise!!!!!!!

You must be wondering why the US elite force was not included. It is because, according to the narrator, they rely heavily on military equipments, all-digitalized technology and stuff.but, A good special force should posses a perfect individual skill like defense, survival, camouflage, strategy, endurance, guerilla, trap-making, and others. The narrator also said that 1 Kopassus soldier is equal to 5 regular soldiers. Here's some things for you :

1. Kopassus wins sniper championship using Indonesia's made weapon.

2. Kopassus ranks #2 in conducting a strategical military operation, like intelligence, deployment and movement, infiltration, and attack. The #1 rank is DELTA force, USA

3. Countries in North Africa use 80% of their military trainer from Kopassus

4. Cambodian special forces has long been trained by Kopassus

5. Indonesia has produced the best AR weapon suitable to be used in tropical wheather, numbers of AR (Assault rifle gun) have also been purchased by US Army.

i believe indonesian military corps better than the americans,

they rely too heavily on military equipments, but ours is more 'tahan banting'

I think every special forces (SF) in the world has their own specific skills.
Kopassus is very well trained for jungle warfare (especially anti guerilla warfare).
Many SF in the world refer to Gen. AH. Nasution's book "Pokok-pokok perang gerilya", which was succesfully practised by Vietnamese Army against the US.

Israeli army, because of their long rivalry with the Palestinian, is very skilled for urban warfare.
As for freezing and harsh terrain like Siberia, I think the Spetnaz (Russian SF) is the best one.

Applaus for Kopassus. But we have not only Kopassus as special force but we have another one like Marinir. Marinir is Special force in navy army that have trained to survive not only in land but also in the sea.

we should keep it low profile though.
Kopassus should only put on a contest when asked. Being said, they need to stop whoring for public attention by crashing 412 solid bricks through their ligaments. It's no longer cool.

Finally, we heard something good about indonesia..

Yes. We should be proud. Just don't use that skill n intelligence, against civilian, or backing up the rich.
