Wik and the Fable of Souls is a game developed by Reflexive Entertainment. The main character, Wik, who is a frog-man like character, uses a combination of jumping and his long, grapple-like tongue to navigate the world. Accompanying Wik on his journey is a mule-like creature named Slotham. On each level the player must capture a set number of grubs and deliver them to Slotham, but getting the grubs to Slotham becomes more and more challenging through each "chapter". There are various bugs that try to steal the grubs or directly harm Wik, and on some levels Wik can fall off the platforms into the abyss.

The Grand Theft Auto series, belonging to a genre of free-roaming video games called "sandbox games," grants a large amount of freedom to the player in deciding what to do and how to do it through multiple methods of transport and weapons. Unlike most traditional action games, which are structured as a single track series of levels with linear gameplay, in GTA the player can determine the missions they want to undertake, and their relationships with various characters are changed based on these choices.

if you want to get anywhere, you're going to have to get your hands dirty. If you can keep your cool while keeping your employers happy, you just might get a shot at revenge.
The use of vehicles in an explorable urban environment provides a basic simulation of a working city, complete with pedestrians who obey traffic signals. Further details are used to flesh out an open-ended atmosphere that has been used in several other games, such as The Simpsons Hit & Run, which has less emphasis on crime or violence.

The series has courted a great deal of controversy since the release of Grand Theft Auto III. This criticism stems from the focus on illegal activities in comparison with traditional "heroic" roles that other games offer. The main character can commit a wide variety of crimes and violent acts while dealing with only temporary consequences, including the killing of policemen and military personnel. Opponents of violent video games, such as Jack Thompson, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and Julia Boseman, believe that players will try to emulate this behavior, while proponents believe it provides an emotional outlet, as such actions in real life would have serious consequences.

As a small time hood, your only goal is to get to the top of the crime world. The simplest way to do that is to join a crime syndicate. Luckily, the various gangs tend to be at war with each other, and blowing away a few members of one gang will increase your credibility with another. Eventually, you will be able to answer pages and take missions from one of the gangs, where completing missions will move you up the ranks. Should you fail, it's Game Over in GRAND THEFT AUTO 2.

Just as it was in the console versions, the PSP rendition of Pro Evo features some nice changes to its presentation as well as the all-new Become A Legend mode which actually performs better than in the sixty-dollar releases in most respects. Just as in FIFA's Be A Pro mode, Become A Legend charges you with creating a player from scratch, assigning him a position and a few attribute points and then building him up over time. It's a lengthy exercise and players will certainly enjoy the added pieces to user interface like the arrow indicating proper positioning and assigning special abilities to your footballer.

The only real issue I had with Become A Legend was its camera. It sits a bit closer to the action than it does on consoles and thus has a harder time keeping with the movement of the ball. The camera does swing fluidly but it moves around so much that it can be disorienting at times. There are also instances when a pass will come to you and just as you turn to take the ball up field a defender that you would've seen with a more removed perspective snatches the ball.

The rest of Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 plays just as you remember from last year's PSP release. Player movements are a bit rigid, but that's to be expected on this hardware. But in general the action – from the colors to the environments to the player models – simply don't pop the way they manage to in FIFA 09. That said, PES is still a good football engine and it's still rewarding to nail that perfect lob thru ball and bury one in the back of the net. I just would have liked to see a step forward on a grander scale.

One feather in the game's cap that will please those hell-bent on picking up PES 2009 is the inclusion of wireless support for multiplayer. The sign-up process is a bit of a headache – though not as annoying as on PS3 – but once you're online the experience is enjoyable with little lag or slowdown.

It's too bad that Konami didn't flesh out the rest of PES's modes. You'll find the usual exhibition, list of cups and the management-centric Master League that allows you to control every move your team makes. There's also a thinly featured training mode that offers little to no actual training. Toss in Become A Legend and the list of modes has legs, it just so happens that the majority of the gameplay is old hat.
