Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty
Following the success of Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, Pyro Studios and Eidos Interactive created a smaller--and far more challenging--version of the same game with a few tweaks and improvements. Though Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty appears on the surface to be an expansion pack, it doesn't require its predecessor to function; Commandos: BCD is a stand-alone product. Commandos: BCD's gameplay follows the same style as its predecessor. Though classified as a real-time strategy game, Commandos: BCD foregoes the use of resource collectors, buildings, and unit creation--elements seen in games like Command and Conquer and StarCraft. Instead, players assume control of one to six distinctive commandos, such as the marksman Duke and the explosives expert Inferno, and use them collectively to solve puzzle-like combat and stealth situations. Completing the game's eight World War II-based missions requires specialized use of each of the six commandos as well as making the most out of limited ammunition against typically overwhelming odds. Though the units, both friendly and enemy, are rather small, they're easily distinguishable against the lush, detailed environments. The interface, mostly unchanged from the first game, remains intuitive. When you've completed the relatively brief single-player campaign, you can team up with others through both local area network and Internet play via Eidos's Web site.

Zeus - Master of Olympus + Poseidon - Master of Atlantis (Zeus Expansion)
As with others games in the series, the player must build a city in an empty plot of land of variable size and resources. The percentage objectives were replaced by direct goals - treasury, trade profit, production, slaying a monster or conquering a rival city among others.
Food resources in this game are urchins, fish, pork, cheese, carrots, onions and wheat. Raw Materials include wood (for triremes and monument building), bronze (armor and sculptures), marble (monument building), grapes (wine), olives (olive oil) and fleece (which can be directly sold to citizens). For the first time, it became possible to coin currency - if a silver mine is available, the player can build a mint and have a limited yearly output of currency. Another new feature is how goods are distributed. A large plaza-like road named agora is built on a road, and goods stands are placed on top of it. After the first goods are available (as the owners of each shop pick them from the nearest supply), a peddler will start roaming around in the roads distributing available (and required) goods.
Other services must be provided to the city - culture require colleges to train philosophers, gymnasiums for athletes and drama schools for actors, which in turn go (respectively) to podiums, stadiums and theatres to entertain the city. Every four years the Olympic Games are held, the chances of victory being changed from the number of facilities, and by the help of Apollo. Additional services are provided by water bearers from a fountain, healers from an infirmary, watchmen and superintendents. Tax collectors levy a charge based on how well evolved a house is.
Religion plays a larger part than in previous games, as Gods or their monsters can protect or attack the player's City. Heroes can be called to slay those monsters or to complete a quest abroad, given the player is able to build their homes (some require culture access, other high desirability, others a wall surrounding the house) and call for them (which require a modest to large amount of goods). If the player builds a large temple any of the Twelve Olympians (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Demeter, Athena, Artemis, Apollo, Ares, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Hermes and Dionysus, in order of importance) - Hestia is not included, and Hera was featured only in the expansion) they can be seen wandering the city occasionally blessing buildings. If the city is invaded, Zeus, Poseidon (by the Kraken) Hades (by the Cerberus), Athena, Artemis (by an unit of Amazons), Ares (himself and by his pet -as he treat him as such- dragon and a unit of Sparti) help defend the city, giving a clear edge over the invaders. If the city is at issues with a god which attacks the city, and the city has a sanctuary to a god of a higher importance, he or she will defend the city (except Aphrodite, which defends against Ares, Hephaestus, Hermes and Dionysus). Monsters can be slain by the according hero, by Apollo or by a large army.

Colonial England. Under a certain amount of duress Jack takes on a job which will not only cause him a great deal of trouble, but also bring to light the answer to a mystery out of his distant past. A lack of money leads Jack to accept a charter to take a British secret agent to mysterious Tooth Island. When Jacks ship shatters on the mysterious islands cliffs on arrival and the secret agent quickly becomes a meal for a monster in the jungle, Jack is soon left to cope with the situation on his own.
Tooth Island is ruled by the strange Doctor T, who is cultivating man-eating plants and has his own dastardly plans for the British Empire. And why does he seem to know Jack, who cant remember ever having been on Tooth Island? What are Doctor T's plans? And what does he know about Jacks past?
And then theres the young and naive Amanda, who is filled by an almost fanatical drive to prove her worth. In the beginning the young lady is employed by Doctor T, and part of her task is to track Jack down and take him prisoner. It doesnt take long before she begins to wonder if she is really on the right side, or if she shouldnt join her opponent, the charming Captain Jack, instead.
A hair-raising hunt across the length and breadth of the dangerous island finally airs the mystery surrounding Jacks past and leads to a spectacular showdown with a dark and deadly enemy and his nefarious henchmen.

Take too long, and your fares will simply jump out of your cab, robbing you of any points they would have given you for getting them to the destination, as well as any points you might have picked up while they were in the car. In addition to racking up points by merely driving people from area A to location B, you can also earn bonuses for performing combos. These combos are simple things, like weaving between cars without scratching up your car, jumping a long distance, or sliding around corners. When playing the game with the arcade rules, you must constantly pick up fares to keep your time from running out.
