Fahrenheit Indigo Prophecy



Fahrenheit, a spectacular interactive thriller, set in New-York, gives gamers the unique chance to play both hunter and fugitive, which in turn leads them to speak, explore, interact, fight and confront unknown dark forces. For no apparent reason, ordinary people are randomly killing total strangers. Although there is no link between the murderers, they all seem to follow exactly the same ritual and pattern.

MtG - Battlegrounds is a real time strategy video game based off of Magic: The Gathering collectible card game. The game is based on the creation of heroes and mages that summon forth powerful monsters, spells, and abilities to defeat the enemy duelist. Kingpin: Life of Crime documents the life of a thug down on his luck. In the beginning, he gets beaten up by goons working for a notorious crime boss, Nicki. He, your character, picks himself up, vows revenge and sets off on a journey that will take him through some of the meanest streets he's ever known.

This first-person shooter will have you interacting with a wide variety of bums and thieves who will either support you or try and kill you. At times, you'll have to mug a specific person or find a certain item for clues as to where the crimelord is located. Breaking the mold of traditional shooters, weapons aren't just laying around. You'll need to visit the pawn shop in your area to buy weapons, ammunition and even health remedies. You'll need cash to finance these buys -- money can be obtained by mugging people or searching dead bodies. With luck, you may even stumble upon a hidden unlocked safe containing a bag of cash.

The game features nine deadly weapons ranging from lead pipes and pistols to grenade launchers, bazookas and flamethrowers. Multi-player support is provided for both LAN and Internet and offers customizable pre-game options such as time limits, flag limits (maximum death toll) and a cash limit. Up to 16 players can bully and bludgeon their way through an online game at any given time.

Be warned: Kingpin: Life of Crime is a gritty, violent and graphic portrayal of street-life and should only be played by those who can stomach the ultra-violence and harsh language. In this regard, however, there is an option to install a low violence version of the game that does not contain any explicit language, blood or gore.

The player controls Torque, a man who has been sent to the fictional Abbott State Penitentiary on Carnate Island, Maryland. YAHTZEE



Yahtzee is the trademarked name of a popular dice game made by Milton Bradley (now owned by Hasbro). The object of the game is to score the most points by rolling five dice to make certain combinations. The dice can be rolled up to three times in a turn to try to make one of the thirteen possible scoring combinations. A game of Yahtzee consists of thirteen rounds during which the player chooses which scoring combination is to be used in that round. Once a combination has been used in the game, it cannot be used again.

Each of the scoring combinations has a different point value, some of which are fixed values and others of which have the cumulative value of the dice. A Yahtzee is a five-of-a-kind and holds the game's highest point value of 50.

The very idea to incorporate the elements of a management sim. and a real-time strategy in a well-designed product was the key to success for this German developer in the last millennia, and the same idea with respect for modern gaming standards should secure their success in the future.

Jack Keane




PC game / Graphically, Jack Keane feels similar to Ankh - it has an almost identical interface and also has the same brightly coloured palette. Each of the levels is rendered in detailed 3D with a fun cartoon style. The characters look and sound just as they should, with not even one hair out of place! There are many cinematic cut scenes that take place during the game, which break up the puzzle solving and exploration, expounding the next story development very well. Unlike some other point-and-click games, I found myself enjoying the cut scenes in Jack Keane, rather than getting annoyed that I couldn't skip them!

The audio is even more flawless than the visuals; the sound effects are complete, down to the smallest detail. While walking through the jungle you can hear the noises of nearby animals, insects and birds, as well as the wind rustling the trees. Thıs ambiance makes the game feel more real and atmospheric than the cartoon visuals should allow, while the voiceovers fit perfectly, the voice for each character matching their unique personality and performed with tender, loving care. The dialogue between the characters is always witty and you will find yourself having a giggle out loud on a regular basis. Subtitles are included too, colour coded for each character; a little improvement would have been to include the name of the character with the dialogue, but as long as you are paying attention this isn't too much of a problem.

Jack Keane is the most enjoyable point-and-click adventure I've played in a long time. It will appeal to almost every adventure fan, as the puzzles gradually get harder, while the game successfully reproduces the vibrant, humorous and slick atmosphere and antics of beloved classics of this proud genre, like Sam & Max and Monkey Island. It's the kind of game that should attract newcomers to the genre too, as it has everything you could ask for in an adventure; a charismatic hero, intelligent puzzles, lovingly crafted presentation and a compelling storyline with plenty of twists, wacky characters and bundles of humour.

So she reprograms her toys, transforming them from heaps of shiny junk into robot pet-nappers.

Kids can assume the identity of Domino, a boy pup or Oddball, a spot-free girl Dalmatian puppy, and set out to rescue fellow puppies. The puppies are stashed in crates in 16 locations that are increasingly difficult to navigate: when pups--er, kids--collect enough bones, rescue enough puppies, and stay away from Cruella's minions successfully, they move up a level of play and on to a different location. A toy store, the inside of Big Ben and Piccadilly Circus are just a few of the places that must be thoroughly sniffed around before completing the game's big goal: a battle with Cruella herself.

Other critters bearing clues, buried treasures, slick surfaces and additional opportunities to solve problems make Puppies to the Rescue a real tail-wagger. There are mini-games hidden within some levels that can be accessed separately, a sticker book that kids can piece together as they collect stickers on their puppy quest and animated sequences that reward problem solving and move the plot forward. The cute-as-heck puppy actions will please parents who prefer no violence; kids can make the pups run, jump, sniff, dig and tumble, but the most destructive weapon these pups have is their toy-destroying bark.

This CD-ROM is Windows only, and movement through the program is by keyboard or game pad; thankfully, the keying is more intuitive than some of Disney's other recent offerings. And unlike some movie tie-ins, this spot-on game does justice to Disney's beloved Dalmatian franchise. (Ages 8 and older).

1503 A.D. The New World








Anno 1503 begins with the player in control of a ship filled with men and material searching for an island to settle. After finding a suitable site city building begins. Resources begin as food and cloth, but progress into more complicated and different goods. Eventually, supperdupper citizens become Aristocrats, and require at least ten different goods and numerous services, such as access to a large church or a bathhouse. The game is constructed around one human player and three computers. Like Anno 1602, the AI computers are progressive, meaning that they advance along with the human players. The computer players also have adjustable personalities, which the player customizes before the beginning of a game. Each different player, human or computer, is represented by a color.

DISNEYS : HERCULES



The game is based on Disney's animated cartoon movie. You take control of Hercules, son of the god Zeus and a mortal woman, the strongest man in the world and the legendary hero in the Greek mythology. Your goal is to prove yourself worthy of being admitted to Mount Olympus, the residence of gods, and to become a god yourself. You must commit heroic deeds and overcome various obstacles to show your strength and courage. Hades, the overlord of the dead, is making it even more difficult for you by sending fearsome Titans to stop you.

This is a 2D platform action game. Hercules can jump, grab ledges, swing on poles, and jump while running. He has a variety of attack moves at his disposal. He can execute a basic attack with his sword, or pull out different combo attacks. He can also Power Punch enemies, but he needs time to charge for this powerful attack. He can even slam the ground to reveal secret areas by performing a certain move while jumping. There are also different power-ups to collect, such as coins to grant bonus points at the end of the level, Hercules Action Figures to increase your hero rating, and upgrades to your sword - Sonic, Lightning, and Fireball swords.
