Spanish football's rising powerhouse Villarreal are set to bolster their squad for next season by completing three signings as early as next week.

The Yellow Submarine have almost signed Brazilian defensive midfielder Edmilson from Barcelona while talks over Real Valladolid striker Joseb Llorente are at an advanced stage.

Villarrel also want to take the Almeria left back Mane this summer but he has a price tag of €6 million which could be more than what Villarreal are eager to lash out.

Edmilson is currently undergoing a medical test with the Yellow Submarine and with due time, Maneul Pellegrini would be able to rope in Llorente as well.

But talks with Almeria, who have just finished an exciting season in Spain, for the 26-year old Mane could prove to be intricate.

Villarreal finished second in the just concluded 2007-2008 season and coach Pellegrini wants his side to compete in the UEFA Champions League with good force next season.
